Week 44. It’s starting to feel “really real” right about now!
My ancestor this past week was John Kelley, who frustrated me because of the lack of information about what he raised on his farm. I’ve always said that No Story Too Small readers are the best. Be sure to check out the follow-up regarding why I don’t know what he raised.
Week 44. Hmmm, if I’m going to meet my own challenge, I need to step it up into high gear…!
Who did you write about this past week? Tell us and leave a link in the comments below. While you’re here, take a look at what some people wrote in Week 43.

On Sunday, when I post, I wrote about Sadie Odom. On Wednesday, I discovered I had written about Sadie weeks prior. SOOO, I wacked the post, choosing another ancestor. I chose Rev. Carroll Thomas DOZIER, a Catholic priest. My confession is at the very end of the post. And, no, I am not Catholic. Good grief!

Jacob Hiley LESTER or Jacob LESTER? Strange how for years you accept a person’s name without wondering where it came from. Will I ever know if it is an “assumed” middle name or documented?

It is frustrating for me not knowing more about an ancestor than just the basics. I am working on researching all of his descendants -mainly in hopes of tracking the husband of his youngest daughter – since nothing is known about Alexander Beaubier and I descend from them. I am going to make Alexander the topic of my research paper for my certificate in Genealogy and Family History. I hope I can find something to write!
This is about my 3x great grandfather who built a number of properties in what was then a very rural South London.
